48 police officers killed on intentionally
May 15th, 2007 by The Law
The FBI said that in Puerto Rico and in the United States fourty-eight officers were killed intentionally. Over fourty of them were shot and two were hit by vehicles. 35 of the officers were fatal shots by handguns. 26 of the officers had body armor on at the time of death. 22 of the killings happened in the southern states. This seems like an outrageous amount that died, but believe it or not the rate slightly dropped over the past few years. Hopefully the rate continues to drop. It’s sad to see officers die in the line of duty. When all they are trying to do is make this world a better place.
