President Bush warned congress that he plans on using his veto power to end runaway government spending. Bush knows that the people of the United States do not want to go back to tax-and-spend policies. It isn’t fair to them. Bush has recently backed down from his veto threat. He says that he has enough backing from the Republican house that he won’t need to use that.
