Coca-Cola lawsuit dismissed
April 15th, 2007 by The Law
Coca-Cola’s bottling company dismissed Peters who is black for insubordination. He claimed he was fired because of his race. He said that white or Hispanic workers were treated less harsh in similar situations. Even though he was terminated by the HR department who didn’t know of Peters race, his supervisor not only knew he was black but also had been known for treating other black employees unfairly. His supervisor was also know for making racial remarks in the work place. At first they were said to go to trial but it got dismissed right before they were supposed to go to court. This seems to be a little unjust in my opinion.
