Temperature is the why gas prices are increasing

As the summer heat increases the gasoline prices increase along with it. The reason this is because the gasoline expands and the energy in each gallon drops. When the weather is lower about 60 degrees then the pumps work great. When the temperature increases the pumps don’t change. The temperature increase can cost consumers anywhere from 3 and 9 cents more a gallon.
